feeling fluffy?

A friend and fellow blogger has been sharing her personal struggles with weightloss for a few months now. She's feeling like she's hit a wall, so to speak, and has asked myself and another friend to share our struggles, advice, support, etc. I'll be posting occasionally with her at Our Weight Loss Adventure.
If muffin-top, spare-tire, thunder thighs, jelly belly, seem to be your hang-up, or if you have great advice, support, tips to share, give us a shout-out in the comment box. We'd love to hear from you!
I still have 16# to lose to meet my goal from last May of losing 50# total. Maybe you can help get me there!! (without cutting off my hands, which are constantly feeding my face)

Anyhow, join us if you like. We're worth it!

Wow, Jamie! Sounds like you are doing a great job keeping it off. I lost 30 lbs a couple of years ago but have gained it all back. I'm so disappointed in myself, especially now that it is shorts and tank top weather again. Just yesterday I decided to get back on the wagon and eat better. Today has been a long day, but I am optimistic that I can do it again. Please keep us posted on your favorite weight-loss tips. I'm willing to try anything!

ok ladies here is what I know from Weight Watchers... and Jenny Craig.. its not that bad... PROTEIN is the key to keeping you feeling FULL..
breakfast: Whole grain english muffin w/little butter..coffee, 1 cup of milk OR 2- eggs
mid-morning snack: celery w/ 1 TBL of Low fat peanut butter
lunch: salad. dip your salad into the dressing rather the pouring over the top.. turkey sand on whole wheat bread.. coffee, water, diet soda
afternoon snack: low fat yogurt, fresh fruit or raw veggies
dinner: eat the same as the family cut your protion in 1/2 .. no cheese or noodles
evening snack: 25 pretzel sticks, water, diet soda, fresh fruit
of course WALKING is a good exercise..NO NEED TO RUN...

OK...I have to comment. I can't say this enough. Whenever you eat anything that is lowfat, it most likely has artificial sweetners in it. Diet pop is horrible for you. Google the harmful affects of artificial sweetners and you will never use them again (hopefully). Also, there is a lot of research linking A.S. to cancer AND it also lowers your metabolism.

Good Luck Ladies...

wellll,,, OVERWEIGHT is also not healthy... I did not say to be on the diet pop forever..BTW this is also what my dietician told me to follow
AND.. if you google overweight people you will see diabetes issues, blood pressure issues, joint issues.. the idea of diets is to get the weight off and learn portion control.. you can drink water all day... how boring is that....

Protein? I thought the secret to feeling full was fiber! Phew! What do I know?

It's been a long time since St. Patrick's Day, and there are lots of 5K's coming up in the area.

Note that my dear wife, mother, and so much more has forbidden me from visiting that other blog. . .
