duped by the sun

As a rule, the kids not going to school in the morning, stay a little longer in their pj's greeting the day in a relaxed fashion. Today though, the sun had them tricked into believing warmer weather was here, and by 8:15 all of them were dressed, bundled and cruising on bikes & scooters in the driveway. It didn't take long for them to realize the temperature was still in the teens. Brrr.
Finding hope in the knowledge that spring does indeed follow winter... this (cold) too shall pass.

Psalm 74:17
17 It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth;
you made both summer and winter.

Geez Jamie - I at least waited until 3:00 until I kicked the kids outside here!!! The sun is tempting isn't it!!!

Ha. There was honestly no kicking involved! Same thing happened this morning...kids see the sun, get dressed without my nagging, and out the door they go. I on the other hand, enjoy the peace and quiet for a few minutes and slurp my coffee (still in pj's...but who's telling.)
