the difficulty in slowing down

Sam was showing a couple of his cousins how to play an old-school Atari game (Pong) the other day.  As the adults passed through the room and stopped to reminisce at the "simplicity" of the game, we laughed out loud to hear one of the boys mumble..."This is the hardest game I've ever played!  It's so slow!"

Ha!

Did you have this when you were a kid?  Both players compteting from a single console unit...turning knobs to control your "racket."

haha! Nope, I wish. Sam got a "throw-back" Atari joystick with several games for christmas. Laughed out loud when we saw the primitive games/graphics again. Very cool!

the other day I saw some kids playing atari basketball; they were complaining that the graphics were too bad, that that certain things didn't look like a ball; and I said that playing Atari is playing with imagination, because balls are squares, cars hardly resemble one... hahaha
